Duties and Responsibilities of Storekeeper:

Your main duties as a Storekeeper in ADNOC Distribution would be:
To handle and take part in receiving, storing, issuing, dispatching, and safekeeping of stored equipment, spare parts, and consumable items in the store.

  • Assurance that the goods received are properly in line with purchase orders, and reports are raised in the case of short-landed or damaged materials.
  • Process material receipts, that is, physically check, issue, return, and transfer, system data input, and update all store records and files.
  • Physically identify reserve materials for shutdowns and report missing balances to transfer or replenish.
  • Checking shelf life of materials and raising reports in respect to the expiry dates.
  • Checking the status of materials on the shelf from time to time and making arrangements for labeling and preservation.
  • Operating forklift as required to load and offload material.
  • It receives consumables, spare parts, tools, and related equipment; issues are made on demand.
  • Store and preserve all materials in line with approved policies and procedures.
  • Do regular stock checks to verify received materials and report discrepancies.
  • All the materials transactions data should be keyed into the ERP system and reported in case of discrepancies.
  • Identifying fast-moving or obsolete items and making suitable recommendations.
  • Preparation of periodic reports reflecting items unaccounted for, fast-moving items, and results of the inventory checks.

Minimum eligibility requirements

  1. Secondary School Certificate with Vocational Trade Certificate in the relevant fieldAt least 4 years of experience in the same or similar role in the maintenance of inventory and stocks in a large industry company, preferably in an oil & gas company

Key accountabilities

Physically locate reserved materials for planned shutdowns and report any balance shortage by transferring from another site or through replenishment.

  1. Shelf life of materials is to be checked and their expiry date reported.
  2. Monitor the condition of the materials on the shelf and label and preserve where necessary.
  3. Perform housekeeping in all facilities and yards of the store.
  4. Drives the forklift whenever necessary and helps in loading and unloading of materials in the store facilities.
  5. Issue consumables, spare parts, tools, and related equipment upon request for use.
  6. Stores and preserves all items in line with approved policies and procedures.
  7. Perform the necessary periodic stock checks or stock counts to check and verify materials received against
  8. Purchase Order Documents, report any discrepancy, and provide follow-up on the issue and storage in relation to the HSE Management System.
  9. Verify and issue the material to the user against the approved documents and report if not available at all warehouse locations as a Frustrated Demand.
