ORGANIZATIONAL FIT
- This person reports directly to the Head of Legal a team member within legal counsel, you will play a key role in legal activity within the business, assistance with contracts, and regulations to effectively address legal concerns and safeguard the interests of our company.
- Your responsibilities will include staying abreast with UAE legislation, ensuring our organization remains compliant and well-informed.
- Success in this role will be measured by your ability to provide timely legal guidance, as well as your contributions to facilitating sound and lawful business decisions.
- Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, offering valuable insights around business objectives.
- Collaboration will be at the core of your responsibilities, as you build strong relationships with key stakeholders across various departments.
REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES
- Relevant Qualification: Law Degree recognized in UAE
- Experience: Minimum 4 – 5 years as in-house lawyer in UAE
- Minimum two years experience in listed companies within the UAE (advantageous)
- Good command of English and Arabic (a must)
- Ability to read and write Arabic (a must)
- Substantial regulatory or commercial law experience ideally in an in-house environment but well-respected public listed company in the UAE, and related experience will also be relevant.
- Ability to assess and manage risks, and competent in spotting legal, business and operational actions.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to simplify or articulate matters logically and to manage stakeholders effectively,
- Highly responsive and strong team player as well as having the ability to work independently,
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding work environment
